Now that we all feel like Templeton the rat after a long day at the carnival ,well at least I do,it's time to go to bed fat and happy. Tomorrow there will be salad and plenty of water and another chance to be a good little soldier in the fight to force myself to eat healthy.
I did this painting, not because I was hungry, but because it reminds me of when I didn't have a care in the world. Not my health, not my body, not my looks, not who I saw, not where I lived, not how I spent my time, or wasted my time, not thinking it was wrong to live in my tutu , not that my body wouldn't be built for ballet, not cavities, not my hair being dissheveled, not my bills.....the list goes on and on . Do you remember?

Sheri -- I have so very many childhood memories and I am grateful for them all. I can be so naive, it wasn't until I was in my 40s that I realize everyone does not have them. Crazy eh?
ReplyDeleteSo funny how hard it is to pin one down.
I am from a huge family (9 girls and 4 boys) and I being about 10 and sitting on the basement stairs with a bunch of older girls that came to watch two of my brothers practice in their band and just sitting among them feeling happy and excited.
Love Renee
I am so excited to get your comment that you are going to paint this memory (so glad no one else challenged me).
ReplyDeleteAs you know I crave your art so I can't wait to see the paintings you are doing for a show.
I can't deny how excited I am to see my present from you. Kisses xxx and hugs ooo.
Where is the show going to be and are you bringing lots of pieces?
Love you. Renee
Sheri, I love your paintings! I love the mix of fantasy and reality! And the colours are lovely and bright!! I would like to do more painting, I have been working my way back to art through journalling and craft, but I yearn to paint BIG!!! Leanne.
